To Those That Hate Me

June 17, 2013 12:00 am Published by Leave your thoughts

To Those That Hate Me To those that hate me, thank you for showing me there is hate in my heart. To my enemies, thank you for teaching me that enemies remain in my heart. To those that scold, and those that nag, thank you for teaching me scolding and nagging remain in my heart. I thank those in whom I see flaws, for I know those flaws exist within me. When there is discomfort in my mind for whatever reason, I am thankful for I know those minds exist.

The Sound of Wind Chimes

June 16, 2013 12:00 am Published by Leave your thoughts

The Sound of Wind Chimes The wind chimes of Heaven ring leisurely, but people do not know this and so they look to the sky and sigh. Listen! Listen! I say to you all that life in Heaven does not exist separately from life on earth. What is truly valuable is the life you live on the earth with each others’ love. People are bound to their bodies, and so they childishly think that the lives they are living are everything. However the place where everyone has come from is the Universe; its Body is all of you and so all of you are one and the same. Since you live your own lives in the world ? a world where the distinction between ‘you’ and ‘me’ exists but love does not and since your lives are not of the will of Heaven, man, and earth, what you are doing is seeking to do nothing more than satisfy your meaningless attachments. A life that is of nature’s flow is not a life that is lived only for oneself; nature’s flow is about living together.

As Naked As The Day You Came

As Naked As The Day You Came Where have you come from and where will you go? Do you have sadness? Do you have kleshas? If so what? Are they kleshas of knowledge? Are they kleshas of meetings and farewells? Are they kleshas of death? Are they kleshas of birth, sickness, and old age? Whatever sadness or worries you may have they are all your meaningless delusions, which have been born of your impure discernment. Thus if you were to abandon all of your attachments you would be free from your sadness. In society today, a person’s worth is determined by his state of wealth and rank, and people believe that such things enrich their beings which are nothing more than empty shells. But man is an existence that departs as naked as the day he arrived. Do you not go alone just as you have come alone? Once you find yourself, you will come to know that you have come from nowhere and will go nowhere; once you truly realize that you are bound to your sadness, kleshas, and delusions and are thus not really alive, you will become Buddha. Kleshas, along with all the delusions you see, are... View Article

Agony

June 16, 2013 12:00 am Published by Leave your thoughts

Agony Agony is the product of human life. It is when man tries to achieve something then fails that this becomes his agony. Agony is the output of man’s unfulfilled greed. The countless experiences of man’s life are his agonies and joys, but they are mere emotions that he has. Stemming from his karma and habits, emotions are the experiences he has come to have of his own accord. When seen from outside the forest, one will be able to see that no one else but himself has agonies; that one’s thoughts create one’s agonies.

My Song

June 16, 2013 12:00 am Published by Leave your thoughts

My Song The years pass. Though one may come to know ‘d? (Truth),’ he is a wretched being if he still has any of his human mind left. No one seems to know what I have come to this world to do and the things I have done. Amidst this ignorance, people are unable to let go of the useless delusions of this world. As I look upon such wretched people, a sense of futility digs into my Mind. But I sing without having any thoughts in my Mind. It seems to be my fate to teach man that the countless stories he has in this world are all meaningless. Thus I do the work of the Universe absent of mind. There are only wretched minds in this world, no one here seems to understand my purpose. People are ignorant of the fact that the age in which man deems himself superior, inferior, or singular in his importance – the age of polarity – has ended and that a new age of reconciliation is coming. Indeed it is regrettable that people still cling to their old habits from the previous age. What they must realize is that in order to... View Article

Since founding Subtraction Meditation in 1996, Woo Myung has spoken at innumerable seminars and lectures. As long as there were people waiting in search of their true self, there was nowhere he was not willing to travel to. His world tours which began in Korea, and has spanned Asia, Europe, U.S., Oceania, Africa and South America, continues to the present day. Woo Myung’s lectures are clear, thoughtful and easy enough for anyone to understand. Through them, countless people have realized the need to cleanse their minds and began practicing the Subtraction Meditation, thereby finding their true selves and achieving human completion. Here, a few of his lectures from his seminar tours have been excerpted and published. “I wait and wait for the day when all of mankind becomes complete and live. It is my hope that before I die, the Truth will spread all over the world and all people will be resurrected as the Truth. It is my will to work hard, so that even one more person may live.” – Woo Myung
