Worldly preconceptions teach us that the Truth is something that is eternal and never-changing. I, too, teach that the Truth is eternal, never-changing and alive. I also teach what worldly-preconceptions do not – what the existence of the Truth is. It is the place before all material forms were created; in other words, the Truth is the emptiness that remains when you take away everything in the sky that is the Universe – the stars, the sun, the moon and the earth and even all material substances from the air. The Truth, the emptiness, is an existence that is alive; it existed before the beginning, exists now, and will continue to exist for all eternity. This existence is the origin of the Truth. Everything that exists in the world appeared from this place of non-existence. Since all creations came from this existence, they are this existence regardless of whether they exist. Enlightenment refers to knowing the Truth. This does not mean knowing in theory – it is to know by accepting with the heart.
A person with a big mind does not have a framework of “self.” He is able to succeed because he is not bothered by many things and he does not have conflicts with others. A person who tries to make the world suit his mind will not succeed. When one lives with a mind that is as big as the world, he is able to understand the world and the world will suit him.
Nature’s flow is to just live as water flows, without going against the laws of nature; it is living without conflicts; it is living as one without separation between you and me; living simply as one in togetherness; it is living for others before one’s self; it is doing without the mind of having done; it is simply just living. Such is a life of nature’s flow.
Human completion is subtracting all of one’s minds. Then he is able to live well for he becomes the mind of the world that is the God and has wisdom. Furthermore, this mind that is the Soul and Spirit lives eternally.
What people should learn from water is that water exists within nature’s flow. It is not stubborn and it is as it is. Therefore we must learn nature’s flow from water.
